Step 1: Define Your Product Requirements

Step 2: Request Quotes and Samples
Contact 3-5 manufacturers for comparison. A professional factory responds within 24 hours with unit prices by quantity tier, sample cost and timeline, printing/coating options, and estimated shipping. Red flags: vague pricing, no certifications, refusal to send samples, communication only through Alibaba chat.

Step 3: Evaluate Samples Rigorously
- Insulation — fill with ice water, check at 6, 12, and 24 hours. Quality tumblers keep ice 24+ hours.
- Lid seal — fill with water, close lid, turn upside down. Check for drips.
- Coating durability — scratch with fingernail, then coin. Run through 10 dishwasher cycles.
- Print quality — check sharpness, color accuracy, adhesion (tape pull test).
- Cup holder fit — test in 3-4 different vehicles.
- Smell test — fill with hot water, wait 30 minutes. Zero metallic or chemical taste.
Step 4: Place the Production Order
Confirm: exact quantities per SKU/color, approved sample reference, any changes from sample, shipping terms (FOB or CIF), destination. Payment: 30% deposit by wire transfer to start production. Production takes 20-30 days.
Step 5: Pre-Shipment Inspection
